The visible feature was only the surface
A business catalog needs product categories, detail pages, gallery images, and company content presented consistently, with an administration interface for maintaining those resources.
The system also had to respect concrete constraints. The repository documents legacy authentication, SQL handling, and upload weaknesses; it is a reference prototype rather than a production-ready system. No automated tests, verified deployment, or measured business outcomes were established. The project credits both Montasim and Abid Hasan Piash; the inspected source does not establish exclusive authorship of individual features.
My role covered collaborative php website development with abid hasan piash, with responsibility for public catalog pages, reusable php includes, and administration interfaces; individual file ownership is not established.
I turned the constraints into boundaries
A legacy PHP and MariaDB fire-safety catalog prototype with database-backed product pages, galleries, client content, and a session-based administration area, co-developed with Abid Hasan Piash.
Reusable PHP sections keep public page composition consistent across the catalog.
Product and category pages read database records rather than duplicating every catalog item in static markup.
The portfolio attributes this as co-developed work and describes repository capabilities without claiming exclusive implementation ownership.
The key decision: Compose pages from shared includes.
The implementation had to prove the model
I delivered the work across the full path: Collaborated on the PHP catalog and administration project. Contributed to a shared codebase combining database-backed content and reusable page includes. Worked within a project that credits Montasim and Abid Hasan Piash as designers and developers.
The result is concrete: The repository contains public catalog pages and content-management interfaces. Shared includes and database-backed content demonstrate an early server-rendered website architecture. The artifact documents collaborative PHP experience while keeping production readiness and individual feature ownership unclaimed.
The senior engineering lesson was that solving the visible workflow is only half the job. The architecture must also make constraints, failure modes, evidence, and ownership explicit enough for the next change to remain safe.
